Fourth of July

Been in Boise so I haven't blogged in like a month. The fourth of July was great, the kids really had fun but little K didn't know what to think of the fire works!
Looks kind of fun?

Holding on to daddy for dear life...

And she's had enough, couldn't quite handle the finale!

Ready set crawl!!!

She is getting too big too fast! She has been getting up on those knees for the past two weeks and lately she has started to get up on her toes and really rock back and forth. She still only moves backwards and spins around but it wont be long before she goes forward. For know tho we are just enjoying the "backin up backin up backin up, cuz her daddy taught her good!" haha corny I know but we think its funny

Texas Rangers!

So as most of you know, last week we found out that Ben's company is ironically moving us back to Logan. I had very mixed emotions about it at first. I am feeling weird about only being here for 7 months. I was just starting to make friends and I really felt a part of the ward here, so in a way I am sad to leave. Texas has been good to us and I have learned so much being here. On the other hand we are so excited to be closer to family and our good friends! We are also excited about what this means for our future, as far as establishing a good way of living. We don't know when exactly we leave but now that I know we are going I just want to be their as soon as possible so we can start our life. So when we found out we were leaving we wanted to make sure we got to do some of the things we wanted to here. First on the list was a Texas Rangers game. We splurged a little and got some decent seats since, what was supposed to be a 3-4 times a year event, we only got to do once!
I made the bow, a little obnoxious I know but it was fun to make and she totally stole the show at the game. I just love it when people think she is as adorable as we we think she is. She was so good too, just sat and watched for the most part. She is really into what people are drinking so the guy next to me who had a beer was a huge draw, she kept touching him trying to reach it. Haha

Five Months old!

So I have officially given up on posting those videos. I tried like thirty times and it doesn't work. So I am moving on. K is growing up way too fast she is starting to get up on those knees and some of my friends here give it two weeks before she starts crawling. I am finding myself screaming inside STOP WAIT SLOW DOWN! She just turned five months old a few days ago; she is still supposed to be my little baby :( It is fun to see her learn and grow everyday though. She is still addicted to baby einstien, but I try to let her only watch it 3-4 times a week.

She also really loves bath time and it always calms her down and is perfect for getting her ready for bed. In preparation for crawling we are trying to get her to sit up on her own. Probably not a good idea to practice in the bath! Right after we took these picks she fell back and i caught her but it freaked her out pretty bad. She also is starting to really like the jumperoo we bought off Craigslist. I really thought that I would want all new things for my first baby, but I have realized that its just not realistic money wise and you can find really good stuff online or at Kid to Kid!

4 1/2 months old!

Man, so much has happened this past month and a half with little K. The first time she rolled over was front to back at about three and a half months old. She only did it a few times, then as soon as we got home from Alabama she was rolling over back to front like crazy, even if she didn't want to. I think its because she really found her feet! She grabs on to them every chance she gets and then topples over. Hilarious! Last night she wasn't going to bed very well; I went in to check on her and she had fallen asleep with her toes in her mouth. Not sure how that's possible but she did it!

We also have liked going to the pool once or twice a week, the sun totally wipes her out she fell asleep on her stomach outside and this pic was right after I put her down she still had her adorable floppy hat on, so cute! Lets see... what else, oh we started introducing solid foods to her. Everyone has different theories on when you should do this, I think my pediatrician would rather I wait till six months or so, but we decided since she is so big and seems ready, we would ease her into it slowly. She only eats like a third of a veggie container at dinner time and that's it. We probably wont add any more to her diet for another month or so. I originally thought that you were supposed to start babies on a simple rice cereal but apparently that is no longer true; who knew? My doctor suggests that we do veggies first because they start developing there liking for different foods right now! Rice would just make her a carb junkie. True or not? I have no idea. And obviously fruits give them that sweet tooth early on.

Also, since I am putting all these videos on I might as well add this one too! K loves to blow raspberries, she thinks she is so funny especially in church. She literally wouldn't stop doing it all through Sunday School

Okay so I tried to add all the videos and the bloger wasn't letting me do it. I have been trying to post this for the past four days so I am just going to post it and keep trying to add the videos later..... LAME

Lesson learned...

So as the previous posted stated we went to Logan to go to our graduation. Our good friends, Tyler and Lindsey Coy let us crash at their place. Not only did they let us take over their house but they also hosted our family BBQ after graduation. Not only did they host the BBQ but they also bought all the food and paper products for it, cooked it, followed us around all day and took pictures with us. Basically what I am saying is that they are the best hosts in the world! We absolutely love these guys, and they are truly life long friends no matter how far apart we live. I hope one day I can be as good of a host as Lindsey.

To add to the top list of best hosts ever I have to include my sister Candi. Every time anyone goes to her house it seems she has some kind of gift or something for them. No matter what is going on in her life she makes you feel like priority number one! Not only does she make the top list of best hosts but also best guests. When she comes to visit she cleans up and helps me get things done. I wish I would have been able to help her more with packing up her house the way I know she would have for me. It was good to see those kids tho!! Got to love that face JK, she looks so much like her mommy. Toby and I had the most amazing game of JENGA ever, and we only cheated a little.

Utah State!

Wow I am way behind on my blogging!! So I talked Ben into flying us back for graduation and we both agree it was well worth it. The trip was amazing, we got to catch up with family and friends but most of all we got to spend some time in Logan, a place that I believe to be truly magical. So here are some pics recapping the epic trip:

The Sampson clan... all together, including Zach's fiance Gentry. It was so good t get to know her better!

Us sitting on top of the "A" in front of Old Main. True Aggie territory!!

Mom and Dad with baby K in front of Old Main, it was so good to spend the day with them!

Baby K walked the in the graduate procession, so much fun!

In the Stadium during the comencement ceremony with our friends Ben Wood and David Ingram.

Walking to recieve my diploma with K right behind her Daddy, a truly memorable experience

And one of many many pics we took after it was all over, what a long, wonderful day!
